Wei En is Director with Teoh & Co LLC and specialises in all areas of family and matrimonial law such as disputes over children’s issues, maintenance for wives and children, family violence, division of matrimonial assets and cross-border custody/care and control issues.

Wei En also acts and advises client on personal law such as mental capacity matters (e.g. deputyship applications, donorship applications and Lasting Power of Attorney documents) and personal estate matters (e.g. testamentary wills, Grant of Probate applications and Grant of Letters of Administration applications).

Wei En was named as one of the 20 Top-Rated lawyers by the Straits Times in its augural ranking in 2024/2025. He is one of the only two lawyers that were recommended under the Family Law category. In 2026, the family law team at Teoh & Co LLC was recognised as one of Singapore’s Best Law Firms by The Straits Times in the Family Law category.

Wei En has significant experience at all levels of the Courts and has acted as the lead counsel in the Family Division of the High Court and the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He has been involved in many landmark cases where the assets pool was substantial. Some of his notable reported decision include:-

UDA v UDB [2018] SGCA 20 – acted for the Wife in this seminal case where the Court of Appeal explored the power and jurisdiction of the Family Justice Courts in matrimonial disputes involving third parties

BOR v BOS [2018] SGCA 78 – successfully increased the Husband’s share of the assets (valued at $25 million) by 15% on appeal

BPC v BPB [2019] 1 SLR 608 – represented the Husband in the appeal and successfully excluded $6 million worth of assets earned by the Husband

USB v USA [2020] SGCA 57 – acted for the breadwinner Wife and argued successfully in the Court of Appeal for pre-marital contributions to be excluded

CLS v CLT [2022] SGHC(A) 29 – acted as lead counsel and obtained 30% of the pool of matrimonial assets (totalling $42 million) in a moderately-length marriage.

WPN v WPO [2023] SGHCF 38 – acted as lead counsel where the Wife was awarded a substantial amount of the matrimonial assets that were valued at around $30 million.

XML v XMM [2025] 5 SLR 241– acted for the Husband and secured 65.5% of the pool of assets worth around $20 million despite the long marriage.

Wei En is fluent in Chinese and can simplify and explain complex legal concepts effectively. Wei En is also an assigned solicitor with the Legal Aid Bureau.
