Mr Koh Chye Hock

Koh Chye Hock is a senior legal and compliance professional with over 30 years of experience across the oil and gas, energy, shipping, construction and technology sectors. He spent 27 years with Chevron in senior legal and compliance roles across Asia Pacific and has also advised American and Chinese multinational companies in the internet, logistics and shipping sectors. One of his most recent projects involved advising a Singapore AI-driven biotechnology research company on its listing on the NASDAQ.
His expertise includes corporate and commercial law, regulatory and trade compliance, US export controls, sanctions, anti-bribery and anti-money laundering, as well as cross-border transactions and corporate governance.

He has extensive experience advising senior management and boards on complex legal, regulatory and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions, as well as designing and establishing robust compliance programmes. A member of the American Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar, Chye Hock is admitted to the Supreme Court of Virginia and the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and holds a Malaysia Certificate of Legal Practice. He obtained his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center and an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Wales. He was a Chevening Scholar, an Obert C. Tanner Fellow, and was awarded the Graduate Book Prize for Philosophy from the University of Utah, where he obtained his M.A. and B.A. in Philosophy.
